Do I need an official PCOS diagnosis before I can start coaching?
No. If you have a diagnosis, that's helpful context, but plenty of people join while still waiting for tests, chasing a referral, or simply recognising symptoms they haven't had confirmed yet. We can work with wherever you're at.
Is this instead of seeing my doctor or specialist?
No — coaching is education and support, not medical treatment. I'd always encourage you to keep working with your GP, endocrinologist, or dietitian alongside anything we do together. Think of coaching as the missing piece between appointments: the habits, routines, and mindset support that a ten-minute consultation rarely has room for.
What's the difference between coaching with you and seeing a dietitian?
A dietitian is a regulated healthcare professional who can diagnose and treat using medical nutrition therapy. My coaching isn't a clinical service — it's practical education, habit-building support, and mindset coaching, informed by my own lived experience of PCOS, type 2 diabetes and coeliac disease. Many clients use both: a dietitian for the clinical side, and coaching for the day-to-day, real-life implementation.
Who is this coaching actually for?
People with PCOS who are tired of conflicting advice, restart cycles, and all-or-nothing thinking, and want support building routines that hold up in real, busy, imperfect life — without shame or extreme rules.
Should I choose group or 1:1 coaching?
Group coaching runs weekly, and is a great fit if you want the accountability and reassurance of going through this alongside other people who get it, at a lower cost than 1:1.
1:1 coaching is fully tailored to you: an initial call, a goal planning call, then 8 weekly review calls, plus you can message me anytime in between with a 24-hour response. It's better suited if you'd rather not share personal details in a group setting, want more individual attention, or prefer a structured check-in schedule with support available whenever you need it.
Either way, you're welcome to join the weekly group sessions too — 1:1 clients aren't limited to just one format.
If you're not sure which is right for you, that's exactly what the introductory conversation is for.
What does a coaching session actually involve?
Group coaching runs as weekly sessions. 1:1 coaching is structured differently: an initial call, a goal planning call, then 8 weekly review calls — with messaging support in between, and a reply from me within 24 hours. Both are available online or in person at Musclebound Gym, Huddersfield. Group sessions are recorded, so if you can't make one live, you can always catch up, and 1:1 clients are welcome to join the group sessions too.
How long does coaching typically last?
Both group and 1:1 coaching run on a rolling monthly basis — no fixed contract, and you can cancel anytime. For 1:1, the first 8 weeks include a weekly review call each week to help build momentum early on; ongoing support continues for as long as you're coaching with me.
How much does coaching cost?
Pricing depends on whether you choose group or 1:1 coaching, and is shared during your introductory conversation, since it's easiest to talk through alongside what you're looking for. Get in touch or join the waiting list to find out more.
What happens after I join the waiting list?
You'll hear from me as spaces open up. Before starting, we'll have a relaxed introductory conversation so I can understand what you're looking for and you can ask any questions, with no pressure to commit on the spot.
Will you give me a meal plan or tell me what to eat?
No rigid meal plans or calorie targets. We focus on building routines and habits that fit your actual life, understanding your symptoms and choices, and moving away from restriction-based thinking — not another rulebook to follow perfectly.
I've tried "everything" for PCOS already — will this be different?
I understand that feeling more than most, having lived it myself. This isn't about finding one more diet to try — it's about addressing the pattern underneath: the restart cycles, the all-or-nothing thinking, and building something that survives an ordinary, imperfect week.
Do you help with weight loss?
Coaching isn't built around weight loss as the goal, and I won't promise it as an outcome. The focus is on sustainable habits, understanding your body, and feeling supported — for some people, changes in weight happen alongside that; for others, the bigger win is simply no longer feeling at war with their own body.
Is coaching available online, or only in person?
Both — it's your choice. Whether you choose group or 1:1 coaching, you can join online via video call, or in person at Musclebound Gym in Huddersfield, whichever fits your week better.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
For 1:1 calls (initial, goal planning, or monthly reviews), just give 24–48 hours notice where possible so we can find a time that works. For group sessions, there's no need to give notice — since they're recorded, you can simply catch up whenever suits you if you miss one live.
Is anything I share with you kept confidential?
Yes. Anything you share during coaching is kept private and isn't shared with anyone else, except where required by law (for example, in a safeguarding emergency). See our Privacy Policy for more detail on how information is handled.
